Passport!

Woohoo!!! We got word today that we have a Passport for Stevenson and now need to provide a few more documents and our file will be submitted for a Visa!!! This is INCREDIBLE news!!!

Getting the Visa is the LAST STEP before bringing him home!!!!! Before we start planning the homecoming party though, there are a lot of things that need to happen in this step and, of course, that means there are a lot of things that could hold it up, BUT I'm thinking positive and am hopeful we could bring him home in March? We'll see...

I have some more paperwork that I need to complete and get to Haiti. We will hopefully be sending these along with a woman who is traveling there in a week, so they will be hand delivered. Then the orphanage director will file them with the proper offices who will then set up an appointment for Stevenson's Birthmom to come back in for an interview. If all goes well, we will then get a Visa appointment, and that goes smoothly (for instance, there is a printer cartridge for their printer!) he will be issued his Visa and he can come home! (Seriously, that has held some families up for days - either their printer wasn't working or ran out of ink! we are dealing with a third world country - I've even heard it described as a fourth world country recently).

For today, we will celebrate.....
