Stevenson's Homecoming

Saturday morning came and I got the kids ready and left for O'Hare at 7:15. We drove to Wheaton and picked up Tom's sister and stepDad and they followed us up to the airport. The kids were so excited! We had made a "Welcome Home Tiga" poster for him. We found the gate they would be coming in on - no need to go to baggage claim - still no bag!

By the way, Tiga is a nickname that everyone at the orphanage called him. We sometimes call him that too, but when we first met him in June 2007 he said he preferred ro have us call him Stevenson so we'll see what sticks now that he is home.

After a few minutes of waiting, there they were! Stevenson and Dakota ran to each other and hugged. Then me! Iris was a little shy at first, but then grabbed ahold of his hand and they ended up walking to the car that way. It was so great to see them - to finally have him here. Wow.

OMG, I'm DYING!! Tiga obviously remembered his grandfather, and Dakota is so great with him. What an amazing turn around time. Isn't it crazy? Nothing works, then suddenly, everything works faster than imagined. Keep the video's coming!
